Severe Weather Update

The Township of Wall experienced a significant weather event yesterday evening into early this morning.  Strong winds resulted in multiple calls for services, trees down and power outages throughout the township.  Traffic hazards have been addressed, however, motorists should use enhanced caution due to inoperable traffic signals and traffic detours.  The Wall Township Police Department is working in coordination with the Fire Departments, Emergency Medical Services, Office of Emergency Management, Department of Public Works, Township Administrator and Elected Officials to provide the best service to residents, businesses and those visiting Wall Township.  A constant line of communication is being maintained with the New Jersey State Department of Transportation, Monmouth County Roadway Department, Monmouth County Office of Emergency Management as well the public utility companies to include New Jersey Natural Gas and Jersey Central Power and Light.

 

Please keep in mind our emergency services workers who are on the road assisting the public in this storm event and limit unnecessary travel.  Please slow down when approaching and move over to help provide a corridor of safety.

 

Additionally, residents in need of water and ice during the power outage can utilize Shop Rite located at 2433 Hwy. #34 and Foodtown located at 2204 Hwy. #35.
