“Ozzy” The Dog Saved

On Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at approximately 11:00 a.m., the Wall Township Police Department and the South Wall Fire Department responded to 1602 Marigold Avenue for a dog that was caught beneath a deck and under dirt. Reportedly, the dog was experiencing labored breathing and was heard whimpering. Upon police arrival, it was determined that the dog “Ozzy” had crawled beneath a rear deck and was stuck under some dirt. Ptl. Tom Dowd and Ptl. Jack Gramlich along with members of the South Wall Fire Department began removing boards from the deck and “Ozzy” was successfully rescued without incident.
