On Tuesday, April 14th, between 3 PM and 7PM, the Wall Township Police Department will have officers participating in a statewide Goal Zero enforcement detail focused on distracted driving.
As part of the “Put the Phone Away or Pay” campaign, officers will be conducting high-visibility enforcement in areas identified for high crash risk, targeting behaviors such as: • Distracted driving • Speeding • Impaired driving • Aggressive driving • Seatbelt violations
Distracted driving remains one of the most preventable causes of serious crashes and fatalities. Our goal is simple: reduce crashes, increase compliance, and keep our roads safe.
This effort also honors the memory of Paul Miller Jr., whose tragic death helped inspire stronger distracted driving laws and awareness initiatives.

Wednesday, April 8, 2026:
Patrolman Kyle Pelech arrested Samantha Foy, 36, of Toms River, for burglary, theft, possession of cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia following a theft investigation at the Budget Inn, State Highway 35. Foy was processed and released on a summons.
Patrolman Clint Forgach responded to the Long Branch Police Department and arrested Robert Wietzke, 72, of Neptune City, on two Wall Township traffic warrants. Wietzke was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
Thursday, April 9, 2026:
Patrolman Johan Moreno arrested Bernard McKnight, 44, of Neptune, on a Passaic County wanted person warrant following an investigation at the Budget Inn, State Highway 35. McKnight was processed and turned over to the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department.
Saturday, April 11, 2026:
Patrolman Vincent Colucci responded to the Asbury Park Police Department and arrested Ivana Johnson, 35, of Neptune, on a Wall Township criminal warrant. Johnson was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
Patrolman Joseph Phillips arrested Diandra Montana, 35, of Jackson, for driving while intoxicated (DWI) following a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 34 at 10:29 PM. Montana was processed and released in accordance with John’s Law.
Sunday, April 12, 2026:
Patrolman Collin McCarthy arrested Devon Jones, 31, of Asbury Park, on a Neptune warrant following a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 33/34. Jones was processed and turned over to the Neptune Police Department.
