Position: Full Time Administrative Assistant

This is to advise that a vacancy exists for the above referenced full time position in the Wall Township Police Department.

Seeking a motivated, hardworking individual as a confidential administrative assistant to the Chief of Police.  Under the direction of the Chief, this position will be responsible for data entry, filing records, answering phones, customer service, preparing and submitting various reports and documents, preparing police records, preparing payroll, maintaining scheduling system (POSS), maintaining personnel files,  processing requests for information under various authorities including, but not limited to, the Open Public Records Act, the rules of discovery in criminal, civil or motor vehicle court proceedings, minor bookkeeping, word processing, purchase order processing (Edmunds accounting system) and other tasks at the direction of the Chief of Police.  Strong detail orientation and customer service skills a must. Applicant must have the ability to multi-task.

Interested applicants must complete an Employment Application and complete a background investigation prior to receiving an offer of employment.  Previous experience in a municipal or law enforcement environment a plus.
