Career Information: Part Time SLEO II Posting

Position: P/T Special Law Enforcement Officer Class II (SLEO II)

The Wall Township Police Department is accepting applications for the position of part-time SLEO II.

There are no health benefits, vacation, personal or sick day benefits for this position.


Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, be at least 18 years old, have a High School Diploma or state certified G.E.D., read and write the English language proficiently, have no criminal record, be of sound moral character, able to pass a medical examination, psychological examination and drug screening.

Eligible candidates must possess valid SLEO II Police Training Commission (PTC) certification or be a retired police officer with current PTC certification.

It is preferred that applicants are available to work on Tuesday and Wednesday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. SLEO II Officers will work up to 28 hours per week.

Wall Township Township Tattoo Policy:

Visible tattoos or similar markings that are visible when wearing short sleeves on the face, head, scalp, neck, and below the elbows are forbidden.   For leg tattoos only, applicants with visible tattoos while wearing shorts will be required to cover the leg tattoo(s) if assigned to assignments that require wearing shorts.
